Isaac Owen first started preaching in 1852. This church first met in a wooden school house. On the land they use today, they built their first church in 1854. They built a beautiful new church with a 75 foot steeple in 1873. It burnt down in 1936. You can still see some artifacts in the entry way. The current building was dedicated in 1937. They placed the cornerstone from the old building at the entrance.
