317 Washington St.
 Nevada City, CA

On October 2, 1851 Father Shanahan bought the property for $100. Wooden churches built here burnt down in 1856 and 1863. It was first called St. Peters. In 1864 the current brick church was built. It was named after the cathedral in Kilkenny Ireland. St. Canice is the patron saint of the ship wrecked.
